The Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee, a non-profit, statewide developer of registered aerospace and advanced manufacturing apprenticeship programs, will take its "road showGÇ¥ to Bethel School District's annual Technology and Art Fair this Saturday. The committee (AJAC) will offer tours of its classroom on wheels GÇô the Advanced Inspection and Manufacturing Mobile Training Unit (AIM-MTU) GÇô to students, teachers and the community during the event at Spanaway Lake High School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Spanaway Lake High School. The 53-foot trailer-and-truck combination travels across Washington to provide supplemental apprenticeship training to AJAC apprentices, as well as short-term customized training to workers. During Saturday's event, the Bethel district and Pierce County Skills Center will showcase STEM-related (science, technology, engineering and math) courses that utilize the latest in technology and are offered through its Career Technical Education Program. The courses will include bio-medical, bio-technology, robotics, Gateway To Technology, pre-engineering, aerospace engineering, aerospace composite/manufacturing, and power sports equipment.
