Tree's lights remember, honor and show love

The Tree of Honor, sponsored by Eatonville Day Break Lions Club, is back for another year of community fund-raising. Located in the Nevitt Point park at the north entrance to Eatonville.-á First lit with gold lights to symbolize the Lions organization, the color of lights on the tree are changed to purple as people, groups or pets are named by those wishing to remember, honor or show their love in some way.-á A $10 donation per light supports the local community. Certificates can be provided as a Christmas gift, club officials said. The names of honorees are published in The Dispatch and posted at the Eatonville Post Office until after the New Year.
