By Pat Jenkins The Dispatch The Eatonville School Board hopes to have a new member in October. The board has officially called for applicants to replace John Lambrecht, who resigned July 25 because of schedule conflicts between his profession and his board duties. Applications must come from registered voters living within the District 2 board area. A map of it is available on the school district's web site (eatonville.wednet.edu). The deadline for applying is Sept. 23. All letters of application received by that date will be reviewed by the board members, who will interview applicants on Oct. 5 during a board meeting at the district office. Whoever the board appoints will return it to a full five members and can serve the rest of this year and 2017. The seat will be up for election next year. Additional information is available from Debi Hamilton, executive assistant to the district's superintendent, at 360-879-1026. Lambrecht announced his resignation during a board meeting. He said his work schedule as a business operations specialist with Boeing "makes it absolutely impossibleGÇ¥ to attend board meetings and meet his board obligations. Lambrecht was elected to the board in 2013 in his first run for public office. He was the only candidate.
