Braves' receivers best of PCL

The All-Pierce County League football team for the 2017 season is all-Bethel at wide receiver.
The Braves Jarrell Anderson, who's a junior, and Joehnis Joyce, a senior, were named to that position. They were Bethel's first-team picks.
Selected for the second-team offense was lineman Ethan Callap, a junior, and junior lineman Adrian Tedataotao was a second-team choice on defense.
J.K. Crespo, a junior, was named Special Teams Player of the Year.
Honorable mention for the Braves went to quarterback Tristyn Gese, running back Machaiha Lee, wide receiver Trenton Weseman, tight end Savon Bell-Johnson, offensive lineman Byron Willis (who got the same honor as a defensive lineman), Alex Vinton and Lucas Olson, linebacker Jacob Santos-Warner, and defensive backs Lane Brown and Lee. Willis is a senior. The rest are juniors.
Bethel finished second in the Pierce County League during the regular season and advanced to the 3A state tournament. A first-round loss to Ferndale left the Braves with a season-ending 9-2 record.
Caleb Davis, a two-way lineman and senior for Bonney Lake, was named Most
Valuable Player of the PCL.
