Pieces of a vehicle may be a clue in solving a hit-and-run collision that killed a female pedestrian near her home in Spanaway last month.
Investigators of the death of Jessica Hanson, 31, discovered a fog lamp and a red and black hubcap near where she was found after being struck. But they don’t know the make or model of the vehicle the parts came from, according to the Pierce County Sheriff Department, which has asked for the public’s help identifying the vehicle and its driver.
At about 4:18 a.m. on May 13, a passerby found Hanson alone and lying unconscious on 168th Street East near the intersection with B Street East. She’d suffered critical injuries and died from them at a hospital in Seattle on May 26, the Sheriff Department reported.
Deputies learned Hanson was involved in an argument at her residence on 168th, left and walked less than six blocks before she was apparently run over by a vehicle that left the scene.
