Memorial Day services in Eatonville and Spanaway

In recognition of Memorial Day, American Legion Post 148 will host a ceremony at the Eatonville town cemetery at 11 a.m. next Monday. In preparation for the event, volunteers will place American flags and crosses on military veterans’ graves, as Dani and Mariaha Graham – members of a church youth group from CenterPoint – did for last year's ceremony.. Also scheduled for the holiday weekend in honor of Memorial Day and fallen military members are a ceremoy Sunday, at 1 p.m. at Fir Lane Memorial Park in Spanaway (the cemetery is located at 924 E. 176th St.) and on Monday, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spanaway (26418 Mountain Hwy E.).
