Two-day bazaar supports children's hospital
The Mountain Country Bazaar will be held Nov. 3-4 as a fund-raiser for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital. The event will be at Eatonville Baptist Church from 6 to 9 p.m. the first day and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second day. Bazaar organizers said more than 60 artisans will have displays.
The church is at 825 Eatonville Hwy.
The bazaar's sponsor is the Dr. A.W. Bridge Guild of Eatonville, which is named for the doctor who started his medical practice in Eatonville in 1909 and, on his passing in 1949, left a $500,000 estate to support the start of the childre's hospital in Tacoma that’s named after his mother. The hospital opened in 1955.
Bazaar organizers said more than 60 artisans will have displays.
Family bingo night at county park Nov. 3
Pierce County Parks and Recreation’s annual Family Bingo Night at Meridian Habitat Park is scheduled for Nov. 3.
From 6:30 to 9 p.m., the event will include bingo, prizes and concessions. Bingo players can purchase six game sheets for $5 per person, and they're asked to bring their own highlighter or dauber. Advance registration and information is available at piercecountywa.org/parks and 253-798-4141..
The park is in South Hill at the corner of 144th Street East and Meridian.
Bazaar Nov. 4-5 at Spanaway Lake High
Spanaway Lake High School's annual Holiday Bazaar is scheduled for Nov. 4-5 from 9 a.m. t 5 p.m. the first day and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the second day.
Nearly 200 vendors are expected for the fund-raising event that benefits school programs.
