G-K heads for SPSL showdown with Puyallup

It was closer than the final score indicates, but Graham-Kapowsin emerged still unbeaten -- and ready for a showdown with another undefeated team -- after downing Arlington 35-14 in a non-league high school football game last Friday.

Arlington led 7-0 after the first quarter and 14-0 in the second two short touchdowns runs by Aaron Olmos and a TD by Micah Smith put G-K ahead permanently at halftime.

Now the Eagles are preparing to face Puyallup, like them without a loss this season in the 4A South Puget Sound League. Going into their duel Oct. 6 on the Vikings' field, both teams are perfect through five games. Graham-Kapowsin has played one less SPSL game but is 4-0, while all of Puyallup's contests have been against conference foes.
