SOCCER: From a big tie to a disappointing defeat

Eatonville High School’s girls soccer celebrated a 2-2 tie with 2A South Puget Sound League champion Orting. on Oct. 23 in their final match of the 2A South Puget Sound League regular season. It was only the third time in 14 SPSL matches that Orting didn't win this fall. The Cardinals finished atop the Sound Division with an 11-0-3 record, followed by Steilacoom at 9-2-3 and Eatonville at 8-3-3 (8-5-4 counting non-league contests). All three teams advanced to the district playoffs that began and ended Oct. 28. for Eatonvlle The Cruisers fell to Port Angeles 3-0 In a loser-out match at Franklin Pierce High in Parkland.
