THIS WEEKEND

State Fair still going

The Washington State Fair, the largest single attraction held annually in the state, will launch another 20-day run this week in Puyallup.
Ranked perennially among the largest fairs in the world, the event is scheduled for Sept. 1-24 – except on Tuesdays and Sept. 6, when it will be closed. Food, animal and farm produce exhibits, carnival rides and games, commercial displays and free entertainment are planned, along with a professional rodeo and big-name concert performers. Information on fair admission prices and concert schedules and tickets is available at thefair.com.
