A woman who wasn’t in a crosswalk was hit by a vehicle on State Route 7 in the Spanaway area Dec. 30.
According to the State Patrol, the accident happened near 189th Street. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries she suffered when she was struck by a commercial van driven by a Tacoma man. The driver wasn’t hurt.
The State Patrol attributed the accident to the woman not using a crosswalk.
SR-7 was closed at the accident scene for two hours.
