Born October 24th, 1934 in Seattle, Washington, died December 16th, 2017 in Edmonds, Washington.
Joan, 83, of Edmonds, WA passed away on December 16, 2017. Know by her family and friends as “Joanie” and grand and great grandchildren as “GiGi”, she was the daughter of Ned and Evelyn Ward and sister to Jean Lonn, Norman Ward, Bob Ward (Carol), Grover, Ann (Tootie) and Eddie Ward.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Roy Sundquist (Yolanda). She will also be remembered fondly by her three grandchildren, Kristin Sonon (Daniel), Russell Shrewsbury (Jessica), and Ross Shrewsbury (Kathryne); and six great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Gabriel and Lillian Sonon, Renner and Reign Shrewsbury and Rowan Shrewsbury.
There was nothing that Joan loved more than being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all her babies. With her passing a light has gone out in our lives, but a new one will shine brightly in her family and friends hearts forever.
Memorial Service was held at Beck’s Tribute Home, 405 5th Ave. S, Edmonds, WA on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to charity of choice in her honor.
