Cruisers' Jaelin Hotz honored by WIAA

Jaelin Hotz, a junior on Eatonville, High School's girls basketball team, has been named by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) as one of its Athletes of the Week for the period of Dec. 17-30.

Hotz averaged 17 points per game during a three-game span. That  included a season-high of 26 points against Renton. She made a combined 10 three-point field goals in the three games.

The WIAA, the governing body of high school athletics in Washington, recognizes varsity student-athletes in all sports with its weekly honors. Nominations for the award can come from school officials, coaches, fans and the news media.
