Clyde Anthony Sofie December 15, 1930 – April 12, 2018

Clyde Anthony Sofie, 87, a longtime resident of Pierce and Lewis Counties, passed away on

Thursday,  April 12, 2018.

     Clyde was born on December 15, 1930 to Anthony and Fannie Sofie in Port Angeles and raised in Sequim.

     After high school graduation, Clyde joined the Navy, serving for four years.  He then attended Northwest Bible School for three years.  Clyde pastored in Mineral, WA for 20 years and other small congregations in that area.  He also worked for Mutual Materials until their closure in 1990.

     He married Virginia Sigo in 1990, and in 1992 they started a church in their home in Ashford.  The church remained open until Clyde’s death.    

     Clyde was quick to help others doing his best to practice living his faith. He is survived by his former wife and friend, Virginia Sofie, brothers Gene, Elvin, and Harold and sister Antonia Yvonne.

     Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Fannie Sofie and brother Stanley.

     A Memorial will be held on Saturday, May 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Church in Elbe.  Address:  54011 - 180th Ave. Ct. E., Elbe, WA 98330.
