Alcohol a factor in a crash near Eatonville on Nov. 27

An Eatonville man was injured during a crash off of Eatonville Cutoff Road on Tuesday, Nov. 27. 

According to the Washington State Patrol, Robert Newman, 68, was traveling northbound on State Route 161 near Eatonville Cutoff Road in a white 2004 Chevrolet Silverado truck when Newman lost control of the vehicle and drove off the road towards the left. 

Newman’s car ended up in a ditch and he was injured. State troopers arrived at 5:15 p.m. to the scene of the crash. According to WSP, alcohol was a factor in the crash. No other cars or people were involved. 

Newman was transported by emergency medical services to Good Samaritan Hospital.
