Cruisers Track team hosts first meet of the season

On Wednesday, March 27, the Eatonville High School Track Team hosted Foster High School and Fife High School at its first home meet of the season.

The boys came away with the victory overall but the girls fell short. The boys took the win over Foster by a score of 77-58 and they took down Fife by the narrow margin of 70-66. The girls, on the other hand, were only able to beat one of the two teams. They came up short against Fife, 89-51, but took the win over Foster, 83-52.

For the boys, Sawyer Noel took first place in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter races, Cameron Hatler took first in the 3200-meter race, the 4 X 100-meter relay team finished in the top spot and the Roulst brothers took the top spots in both the High Jump (Jagar Roulst) and the Triple Jump (Jackson Roulst).

Highlights for the girls include when Kaedyn Byrd took the top spot in the javelin for the second meet in a row, while Halle Noel took first in the 300-meter hurdles for the second meet in a row also. Both the girls 4 X 100-meter and 4 X 400-meter relay teams took first place as well.
