Cruiser baseball enjoys a great week

The Eatonville Cruiser baseball team played host to the South Puget Sound League (SPSL) 2A West leading team the Fife Trojans on Wednesday, April 17.

Trojan pitcher Judah Graham handcuffed the Cruisers all day. He threw a complete game, two-hit shutout at the Cruisers as the Trojans defeated Eatonville 5-0. The Cruiser batters would strike out 10 times in the game.

On Thursday, April 18, the team was home again to host the Franklin Pierce High School Cardinals. The Cruisers would take it to the Cardinals and come out on top with a score of 12-5.

Eatonville finished out the week in grand fashion as they took a trip to Lakewood to take on the Clover Park High School Warriors. 

The story of the day was the Cruiser pitching efforts. Andrew Wiklund, Blain Hanley and Ashton Meyer all combined to throw a no hitter against the Warriors. Wiklund started the game and went three innings and struck out seven batters. Hanley took over in relief for one inning, striking out one before giving way to Meyer who finished off Clover Park by fanning three batters.

As offense, Wiklund led the Cruisers at the plate by going three-to-three with three doubles and driving in five. Ryan Rogers, Caden Jumper, Hanley and Brandon Storm all picked up two hits in the game as the Cruisers took down the Warriors, 17-0.
