Five injured in head-on crash near Eatonville

The Washington State Patrol reports five people were injured Sunday evening in a 2-car traffic collision on Highway 7 four miles south of Eatonville.

WSP said Patrick J. Reed, 19 of Spanaway was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. And a passenger, Makayla McMullen, 19, was also injured and taken to the hospital. 

A passenger in the second car, Charisse A. Caprara, 64, was also transported. The second driver, Anthony J. Caprara, 68 of Morton was treated at the scene but not transported. 

A second passenger in his car, Jennifer L. Caprara, 26, was also injured but not transported.

Trooper said Reed was driving a 1994 Honda Civic north on Highway 7 when it attempted to pass another car in a curve— and instead collided head-on with Caprara’s southbound 2016 Ford Flex. 
Both vehicles were totaled. Troopers said charges of vehicular assault and driving under the influence are pending.
