Scott Chester Summer February 23, 1961 - October 31, 2019
Scott Chester Summer, age 58, of Eatonville, Washington, passed away at home on October 31, 2019.
He was born on February 23, 1961, in Seattle, Washington, the third child of Harvey and Zola Summer. The family moved to Eatonville in 1969, where he graduated from Eatonville High School in 1980.
Scott was united in marriage to Jill Mason on May 2, 2018, in Reno, Nevada.
Scott lived his life to the fullest every day, loved his job at Atkins Rotary, and was a die-hard Raiders fan even in the face of strong local opposition. He was a friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Scott is survived by his wife, Jill Summer of Eatonville; brother, Brian Summer of Eatonville; sisters, Cindy Summer of Eatonville and Zena Summer of Yelm; his grandmother Evelyn Wedeman of Colony, Kansas; and 19 nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, 26434 Mountain Highway, Spanaway, WA, with a celebration of life and potluck at 3:00 p.m. at the Eatonville Eagles Hall, 100 Weyerhaeuser Rd N, Eatonville.
