Bearcat Beat: Winter Break is upon us!

Winter Break begins Dec. 19!
Last week, NHS and Key Club partnered to put on an event that allowed all students to come and make blankets for hospice.
Each graduating class at Monroe High School decorated a specified POD last week with holiday d+¬cor relating to their individual themes. The winning class will be announced this week.
In order to bolster the holiday feel, ASB will be selling hot chocolate Friday morning. In addition, this is Spirit Week this week! Wednesday is Santa Hat Day, Thursday is Whiteout and Friday is Ugly Sweater Day!
On December 18, MHS will be partnering with Park Place Middle School to put on a concert from 7-8:30 p.m.
There are several sporting events this week, in addition to all the holiday commotion! Tuesday, Dec. 16, there is a home boys' basketball game at 7:15 vs. Mariner and an away boys' swim meet at 2:30 versus Mount Vernon. Dec. 17, there will be an away girls' basketball game at 7:15 vs. Mariner. On Thursday, Dec. 18, there will be an away boys' swim meet at 3:15 versus Mariner. On Friday, Dec. 19, there will be a home girls' basketball game at 7:15 against Cascade. Saturday, Dec. 20, the wrestling team will head to Lindbergh High School for the Lindbergh Invitational at 10 a.m.
Remember, there will be a half day on Friday, Dec. 19 and there are nine days until Christmas! Only 100 school days and a half day left until graduation (June 6).
