Bernadette “Bernie” LeClair passed away November 27, 2017. She is survived by a brother Earl (Mickey), nine nieces and nephews, and many “Ratigan” cousins and friends. She loved seeing many of these people at her recent 80th birthday party. Above all, Bernie was an educator, first in many parochial schools throughout the west, and then teaching Home Ec and English in the Monroe School District, where she chose to teach in public schools. She was always proud to see students flourish and blossom as she helped them grow. Bernie fell in love with the Monroe area, living there with her beloved pets until her death. We would like to thank those who made Bernie’s last year special, the loving staff at Regency Care Center at Monroe, Mark Raney, MD, and especially the Scavotto cousins who gave so much loving time to Bernie.
