Business workshop teaches how to contract with the government

In partnership with the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce, Sultan Mayor Carolyn Eslick will host a free business workshop on contracting with the government.

The Federal Government is the world's largest consumer. State and local governments also make a broad array of purchases. This workshop will teach the basics about becoming a successful government contractor.

At the workshop you will learn about classifying a product or service, getting registered, types of solicitations, how a government solicitation evolves into a formal contract and much more.

The workshop will be held in the Sultan City Council Chambers, 319 Main St. from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 11.

This is the third of four business workshops hosted by Mayor Eslick to help small business owners succeed and prosper. Mayor Eslick is the founder of GROW Washington, a not-for-profit organization created to help Washington entrepreneurs become sustainable businesses.

There is limited space available at the workshop and you are encouraged to contact the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce at (360) 793-0983 or email debbie@skyvalleyvic.net to reserve your seat or for more information.
