City of Monroe comes through during Days of Caring

The Sky Valley Food Bank wants to issue a huge thank you to the City of Monroe for their participation in the 2013 United Way of Snohomish County "Days of Caring.GÇ¥ The City of Monroe joined forces with American Girl and Frontier Communications to collect food and monetary donations for the Sky Valley Food Bank.
Teams stationed at Safeway, Albertsons, and Grocery Outlet collected 1,254 pounds of food and $589.83 in cash. This was a big boost for our dwindling shelves and will make a very real difference to our clients. Thank you to the City of Monroe for coordinating this effort and, as always, thank you to all the good and caring shoppers who donated to help end hunger!
