Clifford Milton Halstead Jr., a lifelong resident of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Providence Hospital in Everett after a short illness. He was born on April 16, 1943 to the late Clifford M. Halstead Sr. and Joyce E. Halstead. Shortly after Clifford’s birth his father was killed in Normandy, France, on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Clifford graduated from Monroe High School in 1961. In 1962, he married the love of his life, the late Mary Detrus (Dee) Borden Halstead and together they raised two children. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness. Cliff is survived by his son, Gerald (Barbara) Halstead and daughter Brenda (David) Chapman; grandchildren Alicia, Amanda, Michael, CJ, Mary, Jynna, Anthony, and Gavin; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Tallyn. Per Cliff’s request there will be no services.
