Doris Lou (Amberson) Dunlap December 10, 1926 GÇô May 23, 2016

Doris Lou Dunlap, 89, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Monroe, WA. Doris was born on December 10, 1926 in Anacortes, WA to William and Ethel Rogers and grew up in Sedro Woolley, WA. Doris worked at her father's gas station in Concrete, WA, where she met her future husband Edward Amberson.-á They settled in Snohomish, WA where she spent her time raising four children and doing the bookkeeping for Ed's road building business.-á After his passing she married Kenneth Dunlap and they moved to Monroe, WA. Kenny and Doris enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Fish Lake where the cribbage board was always in sight!-á Doris loved family Sunday dinners at her son Dale's home and visits with her daughter Michelle.-á Doris was a loyal Seahawks and Mariners fan and one of their best armchair coaches.-á She had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor and could always make you laugh.-á She was an absolute wonderful, sweet Mom and Grandmother and will always be in our hearts. Doris is survived by her children, Keith Amberson of Lake Stevens, WA,-á Phil Amberson of Snohomish, WA, Michelle Scott of Whitefish, MT, and Dale Amberson (Dianne) of Snohomish, WA, son-in-law Toby Scott of Whitefish, MT, and grandchildren April Lavery, Nick Amberson and Wyatt Scott.-á She is also survived by Kenny's children who were very dear to her.-á She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jean, husband Ed Amberson and second husband Ken Dunlap and Keith's two sons. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 202 Dickinson St., Monroe, WA 98272.-á Arrangements entrusted to Bauer Funeral Chapel, Snohomish, 360-568-4126.
