The Monroe Historical Society invites the community to its quarterly membership meeting and program Wednesday, Oct. 16 at the Monroe Fire Station, 163 Village Court.
Dexter Taylor, author of the new book "Early Monroe,GÇ¥ will sign copies and present information about the creation of the book and the history found in its pages. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
Refreshments and the book signing begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
