Easter Egg events successful

Color-coordinated mohawks, kids, Easter bunnies and sunshine all made the Community Easter Egg Hunt a success at Lake Tye Park, on April 4.

A few sprinkles of rain weren't enough to dissuade anyone from coming out to enjoy Sultan's Community East Egg hunt on Saturday, April 4, and it wasn't long before the sun came out to stay. Hundreds of residents turned out for the event, which included a street fair, face painting, a bouncy house, Easter photographs, candy, Easter egg hunt and, the pi+¿ce de r+¬sistance, Sultan's very own Easter Bunny, who was escorted to the event by Snohomish County Fire District No. 5.
Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce volunteer Elizabeth Emmons chairs the event each year, soliciting donations from local business owners, residents and the faith community to help purchase acres of candy. Volunteers worked to stuff hundreds of plastic eggs, and rose early on the morning of the event to scatter the eggs all around River Park in Sultan.
