Evergreen Fairgrounds' Celebrate Spring Weekend kicks off with Friday carnival

The Evergreen State Fairgrounds is having its Celebrate Spring Weekend on April 23-24 in Monroe, with free gate admission.

The event includes the Butler Amusements Spring Carnival, which kicks off 4-10 p.m. Friday, April 22, then 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to closing on Sunday, April 24. Wristbands will be on sale for $23 at the event for a one-day price to ride all of the rides or get bands in advance for $18. The discount offer is good through April 21. Use promo code: SPRING.

Monroe country singer Dakota Neuman will perform noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 23, followed by Kickin' Dust that same time on Sunday.

The Evergreen Fair Foundation's Homespun Spring Bazaar will be held inside the Gary D. Weikel Event Center 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, with kids activities, a root beer garden, a Les Schwab youth fishing pond and an Evergreen Speedway ride simulator.
