This was an appraisal picture taken in 1925. Sprau's Ice Cream and Bottling Works was located at the northwest corner of Hill and Ferry Streets and opened in 1914. Also note the old gas pump in front and sign mounted at far left for Monroe Transfer and Fuel Co. and Planer Ends Coal.
This building still exists and is home to Monroe Auto Body.
