"He's a great kid; got a lot of fight,GÇ¥ Jay said after the game. Batongbacal completed 10 of-á26 passes, including an 84-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Shanden Mixayphone.
Monroe's second touchdown of the night was setup when-áBatongbacal connected with Blake Bingham for 45 yards down to the four yard line.-á Two plays later, J.J. Jerome carried it in from one yard out. Monroe's other score was a 37 yard field goal by kicker Tanner Ohlsen.
The Bearcats finished the season with a 7 GÇô 3 record. After the game Head Coach Brett Jay praised the efforts of the team, emphasizing the foundation that has been laid for the future of the program.
