Greta went home to her Heavenly Father wrapped in the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.
Greta was born on May 26, 1937 in Yakima, Washington to George and Esther Huettner. She grew up in Naches, Washington, graduated high school in 1955 and earned her teaching degree at Central Washington University in Ellensberg, Washington.
Greta taught high school home economics and was later a guidance counselor before retiring from teaching in Monroe, Washington.
Greta is survived by her three sons, George, Jim and Tom; along with three wonderful daughters-in-law and seven grandchildren.
Mom, you raised three very good sons; we will miss you and miss getting the hunch-back treatment from you (that was when Mom would tell us she was going to make us the first hunch-back kids in the neighborhood when she kicked our butts up between our shoulder blades).
God bless you, Mom. We know you are watching over us.
A private graveside inurnment will take place at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima, Wash. at a future date.
