The Headless Horseman has been riding through the streets of Sultan every Halloween at dusk for the last 25 years. This year, he began his ride at the Sultan Cemetery, and came down U.S. 2, pausing briefly at GROW Washington. He then proceeded down Main Street and onto 8th, passing out candy to many young trick-or-treaters along the way.
In this photo, the horseman seems to have attracted an otherworldly companion; a filmy shape is seen floating above the horse's head.
