Heart's Roger Fisher rocks Twin Rivers Brewing

Roger Fisher, founding guitarist of the band, Heart, and a recent inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, performed on Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Twin Rivers Brewing Co. at 104 Lewis St., in downtown Monroe.

Owned by Adam's Northwest Bistro & Brewery owner and chef Adam Hoffman, Twin Rivers Brewing features craft ales brewed onsite in Hoffman's four-barrel brewery. Open since January 2013, the alehouse serves pale ale, IPA, blonde ale, nut brown ale and stout. The brewery also offers home-brewed root beer and spicy ginger ale.

Hoffman, once an avid home-brewer, has enjoyed the opportunity to venture into the world of brewing. His craft beers are available in his restaurant and the adjoining taproom.

Fisher, who lives in the Monroe area, engaged Twin Rivers guests last week with tales of what it was like to be in Heart. He performed with his guitar and a mandolin, revealing inside information on how certain songs like "Sylvan SongGÇ¥ came to be. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 2013, along with Ann and Nancy Wilson, Steve Fossen, Howard Leese and Michael Derosier.-á

Twin Rivers is open 4 p.m. to close Tuesday through Sunday. Live music is typically featured on Friday and Saturday nights, with open mic nights on Sundays and Tuesdays. For more information about Twin Rivers Brewing's Facebook page.-á
