Howard Palm June 11, 1933 - March 18, 2018?

Howard Hugh Palm was born an identical twin on June 11, 1933 to Harold and Rose Borgia Palm in Lancaster, Ohio.  Howard went Home to Jesus on Sunday, March 18, 2018 with his wife of 39 years by his side.

After the untimely death of his mother (when Howard was 2 weeks old), Howard and his siblings were then raised by their Grandmother. Howard attended schools in Santa Barbara, California.  At age 19, Howard enlisted into the Air Force and was Honorably Discharged in 1952.

Howard had many occupations over the years: he was an accountant in Santa Barbara, drove a truck for Jordano's Grocers, and drove a bus for the MTD of Santa Barbara.  Howard retired from the Teamsters Union and from the Monroe Public Schools where he was a custodian for several years.

In retirement, Howard loved to work with wood and to putter around the yard. Howard was a very generous person and his love-language was gifting others. Howard loved a great BBQ, and in the last few months of his life he especially enjoyed eating Chinese food, as well as a great meal from Jenos!

Howard is survived by his wife Rachel Palm, sister Sue Izard, sister in law Jackie Palm, daughter Elaine Haga and son Howard Palm, along with step-daughter Sherry (Jim) Carswell, Gayle (Ken) Morgan and step-son Vance Robinson.  Many grandchildren and great-grand children also loved their Grandpa Howard.

Howard's wishes were to have a Celebration of his Life on the beach in Santa Barbara. Plans are being made for a summer celebration in Santa Barbara.
