Kymberlie Kenagy, 18, of Sultan, said farewell to Sultan Mayor Carolyn Eslick and Sultan City Council last week before leaving on Monday, June 30, to begin her service with the United States Navy.
Kenagy, who served throughout the 2013 - 2014 school year as the Sultan City Council Student Representative, graduated from Sultan High School in June.
Kenagy has been a long-time volunteer at such events as the Sky Valley Chamber auction, Sultan Harvest, the Dave Wood Giving Tree toy drive,-áthe Sky Valley Farm Festival, Winterfest, the Sky Valley Community Awards Dinner and many others.-áShe also volunteers at the Sultan Visitor's Center as well as with the Sultan Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization.
Kenagy was honored in February as the Youth Volunteer of the Year.
