Lengthy detour planned during weekend closure of Snohomish River Bridge eastbound

By Brandon MaczWSDOT reports it aims to finish repaving the eastbound lane of the State Route 522 Snohomish River Bridge this weekend, which will likely cause long nighttime detours.

There will be four nighttime closures of the eastbound bridge starting Friday, July 27: 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Friday; 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday, July 28; 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, July 29; and 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, July 30.

WSDOT reports the planned detour during the closure could be up to 24 miles; one eastbound lane will be left open during the day, between the overnight closures.
