LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Sky Valley Food Bank needs school supplies

The Sky Valley Food Bank is once again gearing up for our yearly "Supplies 4 SuccessGÇ¥ drive. Each year we gather school supplies for the children of our clients, providing backpacks filled with pens, pencils, paper, binders, and other basic necessities.

Last year we sent 531 students back to school with all the tools to start on the right foot, relieving their grateful parents of this costly burden.

We are in need of your help to continue this wonderful effort.-á We need backpacks, binders, and all the normal supplies to fill them. -á Donations may be dropped off during our regular donation hours: Mon, Wed, Fri from 8-11:30 a.m. and Monday eve from 5:30-7 p.m. Monetary donations may be made online at www.svfoodbank.org, or mailed to PO Box 724, Monroe, WA 98272.-á

We will be distributing supplies during the last two weeks of August so that all of our students can start that important first day with new supplies.
