Mary "DeeGÇ¥ Detrus Halstead of Monroe, Wash. passed away peacefully at her home on Sept 29 after a long illness.
Mary was born to the late William and Mary Borden in 1943. In 1962 Mary married her beloved husband, Clifford Halstead, and together they raised two children.
Mary worked as a beautician, owning her shop in Snohomish until she retired in 2009.
Mary "DeeGÇ¥ was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Monroe.
Mary leaves behind her husband, Clifford Halstead; son, Gerald (Barbara) Halstead; daughter, Brenda (David) Chapman; brother, Jack (Margaret) Borden; eight grandchildren, Michael, Alicia, Amanda, Clayton (CJ), Mary, Jynna, Anthony and Gavin; two great-grandchildren, Abigal and Tallyn; nieces, Darlene Hildebrand, Flora Vanlandingham and Frankie Shaw; and nephew, Adam Vanlandingham.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, 517 Monroe St., Monroe, Wash.
