Former Monroe High School basketball player Breanne "BreezyGÇ¥ Shore was named Female Athlete of the Year for the 2015-16 school year at Everett Community College.
While at MHS, Shore lettered in basketball all four years (2009-13) and received an All-League honorable mention her senior year.
Her sophomore year at EvCC, Shore was team captain, leading the team to the NWAAC Playoffs. She also received the Northwest Athletic Conference Academic Excellence Award.
With no four-year schools offering her a scholarship, Shore moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she plans on attending the University of South Florida after establishing residency.
