The Kiwanis Club of Monroe is gearing up for its 18th annual charity golf classic, which will include a continental breakfast, barbecue lunch, homemade desserts, a raffle and prizes for the golfers.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Blue Boy Golf Course, 27927 Florence Acres Road in Monroe. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kiwanis Childhood Cancer Program, children's programs at EvergreenHealth Monroe, the YMCA's Invest in Youth program and several others. They will also help provide student scholarships for Monroe High School students.-á
The entry fee is $75 per person, and golf carts are available for an additional $22. Single players, doubles or threesomes are all welcome.
The Kiwanis welcomes business sponsorships to help support the event; gold sponsorships are available for $100 and silver sponsorships for $50.-á
