Monroe man dies in SR-2 vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision

Police report Larson was not in a crosswalk area

A 48-year-old Monroe man was struck on State Route 2, between Fryelands Boulevard and 179th Avenue Southeast, on Tuesday night and later died from his injuries.

Monroe Police report a Shoreline man was heading eastbound on SR-2 in a 2006 Audi Wagon around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday when he collided with Scott Larson, who was on the highway, but not in a crosswalk area.

Larson was transported to EvergreenHealth Monroe, where he later died.
