After 25 years with the Monroe Police Department, Sgt. Cindy Chessie will retire on July 1, and then respond to a new assignment — Sky Valley Food Bank executive director.
Neil Watkins has led the food bank for seven years, and is retiring and moving out of state.
A longtime volunteer at the food bank, Chessie will take over the executive director position on Aug. 15.
