Music in the Park plays it again in Monroe

Andy Crawford and his band kicked off the City of Monroe’s Music in the Park series  at Lake Tye Park on Friday, July 7. The country music event included hats, dancing and a beverage area for the crowd. This was also the first event using Monroe’s new portable stage.

‘It is very versatile and save the city money over a permanent band shell,” said Mayor Geoffrey Thomas.

The next Music in the Park is July 14, and will feature the “Rumba Kings.
