On August 2, 2018 Patrick passed away peacefully from complications of a stroke. He was born April 6, 1944 in Seattle, WA to William and Carol Mullen.
Patrick graduated from Ballard High School in 1962. In 1964 he tied the knot with his love, Mary Graham, and they were married for 52 years until her passing in 2017. Together they had two children, Elizabeth and Rocke, and in 1971 they moved their family from the city to the town of Sultan and started a small hobby farm.
Patrick worked at the Safeway grocery warehouse in Bellevue for over 30 years. After retirement he joined the Ballard Elk’s #827 and was very active with the group, even holding the position of Exalted Ruler. At Christmastime, he and Mary would play Santa and Mrs. Clause for the Children’s Diabetes Foundation. For many years on the last day of school before Christmas vacation, “Santa” would make a special surprise visit to the local coffee shop where his granddaughter Hollee and her friends would be enjoying hot cocoa. Playing Santa brought him great joy.
Patrick is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Ronn) Seaward, son Rocke Mullen and granddaughters Bobbi and Hollee Seaward. He is also survived by his son Jason Scheib and granddaughter Hailey.
