Pet of the Week | April 7, 2015

We are honored to introduce the Golden Girls. These 45 beauties are rescued Rhode Island Red battery hens. They came to Pasado's severely malnourished, with most of their feathers missing.
In their three to five years of life, they had not basked in the sun or felt grass under their feet. Today, after receiving loving care and treatment at Pasado's Safe Haven, the Golden Girls are happy, healthy and ready to live the rest of their lives to the fullest.
They are all named after the grandmothers of our staff, and we are ready to see them all off to wonderful forever homes.
They do have cut beaks (a standard practice in the egg industry), but most of them can eat regular chicken food just fine and will live normal, happy chicken lives.
If you'd like a quirky, funny hen in your yard that will appreciate every little comfort, contact Pasado's today.
If you would like to learn more about adoption or foster go to PasadoSafeHaven.org/Adopt and fill out an adoption questionnaire or call Tabitha, our adoption coordinator, at 360-793-9393, Ext. 110.
