Robert E. "BudGÇ¥ Hackney

Robert E. "BudGÇ¥ Hackney passed from this life Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Monroe, Washington. Bud was born to Richard Thomas "TomGÇ¥ Hackney and Elizabeth Jeanette Ryan Hackney on October 12, 1935, in Raymond, Washington. After graduating from Raymond High School, he attended Northwest Bible College and Seattle Pacific College. He married the love of his life, Jennie, in American Falls, Idaho, in 1956.
Bud was a logger for fifty years and was an avid sports fan who coached youth in basketball and Pop Warner football; his 1970 football team won both the Washington State and Canadian championships. He was a long-standing member of Monroe Faith Center Assembly of God. He mentored many young men through his leadership in sports and his service to Christ; three who were especially dear to him are Mike Carlucci, Keith McDaniel, and Scott Hedlund.
Bud is survived by his wife Jennie, sons Richard (Zenobia) and Craig (Paulette), siblings Reta Hall and Paul Hackney, and two grandchildren, Moses and Justicia Hackney. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, at The Church at Monroe (formerly Monroe Faith Center), 16910-161st Ave SE, Snohomish, WA 98290.Bud Hackney
