Robert R. Griffith June 23, 1925 - May 30, 2016

Robert "BobGÇ¥ Griffith passed away on May 30, 2016 after suffering from COPD and its related complications. He was born in the state of Pennsylvania-á and spent most of his younger years growing up in the Homestead area. Robert had a varied career which included joining the Navy in 1942, working for the US postal service, co-managing the Monroe Golf Course in the early 1960's, driving delivery trucks for Darigold, Foremost and Arden Farms. His last job prior to formal retirement was driving school bus for the Monroe School District. Robert enjoyed golfing with his sons, especially on the annual Father's Day tournament. He also enjoyed visiting many of Washington's casinos, bowling, camping, and fishing, but most of all his daily visit to Rodlands for coffee was-á his highlight. Robert will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, warm-caring heart and his undying love for family and friends. He was the "RockGÇ¥ of the family and he will be deeply missed. Robert and Barbara leave behind their oldest son, Stephen and his wife Debbie, granddaughter Kaitlyn Kuch and husband Derick Kuch, two great-grandchildren Jaxon and Kiley Kuch, and grandson David Griffith. Also, their youngest son, Roy and wife Luu and their sons John, Jimmy and Jamie Tran and grandson, Joel Tran. Those who wish may offer memorials in Roberts honor to the East County Senior Center in Monroe. A very special thank you to some of Robert's closest friends, the Rodlands, Larsons, Stearns, and the many friends at the senior center.
