The Monroe Rod and Gun Club will host their kids' fishing derby on Saturday, June 1, from 9-11 a.m. Check-in starts at 8 a.m.
The fishing pond where the derby is held is on Ben Howard Road, 5.8 miles west of Hwy. 203. Signs will be posted.
The event is free and open to kids age 12 and under. There will be prizes, hot dogs and pop.
Participants will be divided into three age groups; 0-6, 7-9 and 10-12.
Please bring your own fishing gear.
