Rodney M. Heen-ápassed-áaway peacefully after a short battle with cancer on-áDecember 1, 2014 at the age-áof-á73.
Our-ákind and-áloving father is survived by his siblings, Marlys White (Ukiah, CA), Mary Perry (Kent, WA) and Terry Heen (Monroe, WA). Rodney is also survived by his five children, Ron-áHeen (Spokane, WA), Don Heen (Spokane, WA), Ryan Heen (Fargo, ND), Janet-áBurke (Boise, ID) and Chuck Heen-á(Ellensburg, WA); in addition to 13 wonderful grandchildren, Lauren, Erin, Heidi, Jacob, Chris, Katy, Kerry, Stacia, Stephanie, Robert, Jay, Mason, Elijah, Karen and Bradley. He is further survived by two great-grandchildren, Leanna and Jay, and the two furry kids, Stetson and Dakota.
Rodney was born in Sisseton, SD and-áwas-áraised in Seattle, WA.-áHe made his living and was well known for his-áwelding and mechanical expertise.-áDad-áloved camping, fishing and traveling.-á He was also-ápassionate about his involvement with his second family, the-áAlcoholics Anonymous community.-áOur father-áwas an influence to-ámany-áwonderful people and made-ástrong-árelationships along the-áway.-á His travels-áacross the country were commemorated as he was sure to take pictures to-áremind-áhimself and others-áof his paths.

A-ácelebration of Rodney's life-áwill be held in Ellensburg, WA on February 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Ellensburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, 415 W. 14th Ave., Ellensburg, WA 98926.
