Sky Valley Chamber goes silver for annual fundraiser

The 25th annual Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce Auction and Dinner fundraising event is right around the corner, and the chamber is offering a discount to guests who purchase tickets in advance.

The event takes place 5 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Camp Huston in Gold Bar, and will include dinner, silent and live auctions, raffles, a dessert auction and a costume contest. This year's theme is "25th Silver Anniversary Celebration,GÇ¥ and guests are invited to tailor their costumes in a way that exemplifies the theme. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Visitors Information Center in Sultan for $35 each or $260 for a table of eight, and will be available at the door for $40 each.

The Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce is not supported with tax dollars, making the auction crucial to ensuring chamber operations continue. Funds raised during the event help support chamber efforts to promote and advocate for local businesses and maintain operations at the Sultan Visitor Information Center (VIC).

Each year, local artists, organizations and business owners donate arts, products and services to support the auction. This year's auction will feature an eclectic grouping of items, including an original painting by muralist David Hose, a four-day Cascade Loop river rafting adventure, a fire department birthday celebration, a Seattle Mariners ticket package with four club-level seats and several gift certificates to local restaurants.

The Visitor's Information Center is located at 320 Main St. in Sultan. For more information on the chamber auction or to find out how to donate an item, email Debbie Copple at debbie@skyvalleyvic.net or call 360-793-0983.
